The Hurricane Tombstone in Wentnor church

The tombstone is in memory of the Perkins family and others, who died when their house collapsed during a hurricane in nearby Asterton in 1772. It is said that a group had collected together for a card gambling meeting, and that 10 of the 14 people present were killed.
