Myndtown
Myndtown is a small
hamlet sheltering under the western edge of the Long
Mynd.
Myndtown lies at the far end
of a no-through lane (or by-lane) off of the road from Craven
Arms to Wentnor.
Although the views all around are wonderful, there is little
there by way of buildings. The name 'town' is misleading,
as would be village - the parish church is joined by a couple of
houses or farms.
The church is very attractive, painted white to set it off
against the background of the slopes of the Long Mynd. It has,
however, seen better days and there are signs of disrepair on the
outside, accompanied by a musty smell inside.
