More

   with Linley Hall

More village lies to the west of the Long Mynd, off the Shrewsbury to Bishops Castle road.
The village comprises a group of attractive, half-timbered houses and other buildings centered around St Peter's Church.

The church itself is on a raised circular island enclosed by a low stone wall.

Nearby Linley Hall is a fine house dating back to 1742, set in rolling countryside with wonderful views in the valley of the West Onny River.

In the park a group of larch trees, planted in the mid 18th Century, are said to be the oldest larches in England. Rising up Linley Hill to the east is Linley Beech Avenue, a long avenue of ancient beech trees stretching up to the site of a former Roman signal station.
